Entertain Your Family With These 3 Game Ideas

1.React And Act

Materials Needed

  • Paper
  • Pens
  • Bowl

How To Play

Give each player a pen and paper and ask them to write down an event that would cause someone to react. For example: winning the lottery, getting fired or being proposed to (the more creative they are, the better!). Make sure they don’t let anyone else see what they are writing.

After everyone has jotted down an event, ask them to fold their paper in half and place it into the bowl. Shuffle the papers around to ensure they are in a random order.

Now separate participants into two teams and select one team to begin. Each player in this team must draw a sheet of paper from the bowl and silently react to their chosen event, by using exaggerated gestures and facial expressions. Instruct players to all react simultaneously when you give them the signal to begin.

Once the participants have finished reacting, the competing team must guess what each event was. Points can be awarded to each event that is guessed correctly. After the points are tallied, you can give the other team a turn.

2.Two Truths And A Lie

Materials Needed

  • A sheet of paper for each player
  • Pens for each player
  • A Bowl

How To Play

Hand a sheet of paper and a pen out to each player and ask them to write two truths about themselves as well as a lie.

Instruct them to write this down without showing any of the other players. Once they have decided on their truths and their lie, ask them to fold the paper in half and place it in the bowl.

Now mix the papers up and select a sheet. Read out what was written, and get the players to guess who wrote it, and whether the statements are true or false.

3. Who’s My Match

Materials Needed

  • Sticky notes
  • A Pen

How To Play

Write down a list of famous celebrity couples, and then write down the name of a female celebrity on one sticky note, and the name of their male partner on another. Once you have added all the couples, you can mix the names up randomly.

Before you start the game, be sure to remove all mirrors or reflective objects that could spoil the game.

Stick one note to each player’s back or forehead, and instruct the players to try and figure out who their celebrity is and who their match is, by asking other players yes or no questions.

Players must only reply to the questions with a simple yes or no, and must ask only one question per player.

The winner is the person with the most correct guesses.

If these 3 family game ideas don’t liven up your home with infectious fun and laugher, then we’re not sure what will.

Any one of these hilarious games will have your family in instant stiches. So go on and try them out to see what we’re talking about!
