Since bacteria thrive in moist, dark places, your kitchen cloths and sponges can easily become breeding grounds for them if they’re not regularly disinfected. Luckily there’s a quick and easy way to keep your cloths and sponges bacteria- free. Simply wet them, place them in the microwave for about a minute, and then take them out once they have started steaming. The microwave’s heat will instantly kill all bacteria and sanitise your cleaning equipment.

2. Peel Egg Shells Off Easily

When you use the microwave to soften butter, you always run the risk of melting it completely. Thankfully there’s a better way to soften it. All you need to do is fill a glass up with hot water, empty out the glass once it’s hot to the touch, and then flip it over the stick of butter you want to soften.
