Make it Wonderful With These Four 2018 Foodie Events

The Good Food & Wine Show

As one of South Africa’s largest culinary events, the Good Food and Wine Show hosts a colourful selection of talented chefs and food enthusiasts. With book signings, baking theatres and Barista championships, there’s never a dull moment at this epic event!

Where It’s Happening:

Durban Exhibition Centre – expected to begin in late October.

Johannesburg Coca Cola Dome – expected to begin in late July.

Cape Town International Convention Centre – expected to begin at the end of May.


Coffee & Chocolate Expo

Chocolate connoisseurs and aspiring Baristas in pursuit of the perfect cuppa can expect a bitter sweet line up of exciting experiences at the Coffee & Chocolate Expo. Discover the wonderful array of combinations at the Pairing Theatre or get up close and personal with some of the trendiest and innovative coffee machines known to mankind. Whatever you choose to do at this foodie event you’re sure to taste or see something new.

Johannesburg Montecasino – expected to begin in mid-July.

Durbanville Racecourse - expected to begin in early October.

Durban Suncoast Casino – expected to begin in late August.


The South African Street Food Festival

If local flavour and authenticity is what you’re after, then the South African Street Food Festival won’t disappoint! Showcasing the best of South Africa’s street foods, along with some live music and local talent, this foodie event is nothing short of sensational.

Johannesburg Common Ground (6 Staib Street, Maboneng) – tickets available from 9th September.

Cape Town Side Street Studios (48 Albert Road, Woodstock)– tickets available from 1-2nd September.


SA Cheese Festival

What could be better than experiencing a mouth-watering selection of artisanal cheeses whilst being surrounded by the breath-taking views of the Stellenbosch mountains? The South African Cheese Festival is undoubtedly any foodies dream! And with previous attendance records of up to 30 000 people you know this event is definitely worth a visit.

Sandringham, Stellenbosch - 27th – 29th April 2018
