If you’re an avid design fan, but haven’t heard of the Franke SA Kitchen Trends Project yet, then we’d like to encourage you to book your tickets for this year’s Durban Decorex!

Apart from showcasing KwaZulu-Natal’s top design talent and the latest design trends, Durban Decorex will be hosting an exciting competition between four local kitchen designers.

Known as the Franke SA Kitchen Trends Project, this design challenge not only offers kitchen manufacturers an opportunity to show off their expert design skill, but also gives them a chance to compete for R10 000 worth of Franke SA products.

“The essence of what we want to achieve at Decorex SA is to highlight the talent of South Africa designers. By sponsoring the Franke Kitchen Trend Project, we are providing small-to-medium businesses with an invaluable platform to display these talents and capture an audience they might not previously have had access to. Business growth following exposure at Decorex SA has been incredible for these designers, with many of them booked for months because of the exhibition showcase,” explains Clinton Soutter, Franke SA’s national sales manager.

Franke SA Kitchen Trends Project Confirms Participants

After much deliberation, we’re happy to announce that the Kitchen Trends Project participants for Durban Decorex have been confirmed.

The competing kitchen designers are Crestwood Kitchens, Expert Kitchens, Kitchen Spectrum and Wood Trends. And these four companies will be creating kitchen designs that make use of state-of-the-art Franke SA products.

The Chosen Theme For The Franke SA Kitchen Trends Project

‘Simplicity in Design’ is the theme that participants will be judged on this year, and we can’t wait to see how they interpret this in their kitchen designs!

Whilst speaking with Clinton, we were able to get a brief idea of the sort of thing that the judges will be looking out for. According to him, modern, clean-cut and minimalistic design features are sure to steal the spotlight.

Now that you know what to expect at the Franke SA Kitchen Trends Project, we hope you’ll be visiting Durban Decorex to see some exceptional talent and design inspiration.
